Playing Outside

Evers and Reis were helping mom rake leaves...and play and spread them all over...and rake again. It was a fun few days to finish up that project :-)

I was cleaning the bathrooms with Reis by my side while Evers was playing downstairs...or so I thought. I decided to go check on Everett and he was NO where to be found in the house. I started to panic when I looked in the backyard to see him playing with his cars, in his diaper, in the cold fall weather! Reis wanted to join him while I went to find my camera. Gabe, I swear I do put clothes on my kids!
The kids and I built a HUGE (as Evers would say) pile of leaves at the bottom of the slide. The kids had SO much fun sliding into the pile of leaves.

This is what happened EVERY time Bryan would mow the lawn...Daddy having to carry Reis AND mow the lawn at the same time while Everett followed right behind with his lawn mower! It was a site!

Daddy's killings!! The kids had fun watching dad clean the birds on our FRONT lawn!
Daddy taking Reis on his FIRST motorcycle ride around our neighborhood. Mommy was nervous!
I sure do miss the fall..spring...and summer!

Random December

Some random photos. Being goofy and playing in the snow.

We did the Christmas Cruise along the Provo River. It was fun to see the lights.

We went and picked out our xmas tree. The kids were cold..especially Reis...so it was a quick trip. But they sure did enjoy the tree IN our house. They kept sneaking behind the tree and then running out laughing. I'm suprised that our tree did not fall down once this holiday season.

It's Pumpkin Time

We went to the pumpkin patch here in Springville. The kids had a blast picking out there pumpkin and playing in the maze! Evers wanted the biggest and wanted to carry it ALL by himself..he didn't get very far when he asked for HELP.

Reis enjoyed the dirt...sitting in it AND eating it!
Then we came home to paint them. Evers enjoyed using ALL the colors and just slapping it onto the pumkin. Reis kept trying to eat the paint...needless to say he didn't get to paint his pumkin.

We went to our ward Halloween Party and ate some darn good chili, enjoyed doing a kid craft, and then headed outside for some trunk-or-treating. Bryan had been talking to Everett about what happens on Halloween...we get dressed up, say "trick-or-treat" and we get CANDY. Evers had fun going trunk to trunk saying the 3 magical words and having candy dumped into his bag!

It is fun to see how much Everett is catching on to holidays. We were looking forward to taking the kids out on Halloween just around our neighborhood...but Reis and Evers started throwing up that day :-( So we just watched movies...including Charlie Brown's Pumpkin Patch. I think Bryan was more disappointed than Everett was not to be trick or treating. Oh well, there is always next year!

Nana's Retreat

Nana put on her BIG Mary Kay retreat this year up in Park City. Yeah for us!! We got to go up and see her and Grandpa Mike do their THANG!! It was a fun couple of days with swimming, eating, great motivational talks, and family time!

Gigi (Bryan's grandma who also does MK), Nana and Reis hanging out during the luncheon.
The pool was warm but the air was bitter cold. That did not stop our kids from having a good time...blue lips and all!The kids did really well during the talks..they found their own entertainment...hiding under tables!!
The best part of the weekend was what happened the last day, during the last talk, which was none other than SuzAnne. All the directors were lined up on and off the stage and Gigi was among them. Gigi was waving to Everett and when he noticed he just yelled "GIGI" and ran right up to her. I of course made Bryan go up to get him, and at that moment SuzAnne was having the directors go back to their seats when Everett's eyes locked onto Nana and he ran so fast right in front of the directors, arms outstretched yelling "Nana, Nana, Nana." Nana just swooped him up....How could you resist?!!?! Usually Everett would get shy in front of a crowd, but he turned into little ham! Nana told him to say HI and he did right into the microphone...she prompted him to say Thankyou Grandpa..and he did. The crowd was melting...I was melting.
When it was over Evers couldn't get enough of the microphone...or the stage!! Reis and Evers had SO much fun dancing..they were a hit!

Reis is 1

Reis turned 1....last September!! I am SO grateful that he is a part of our family. For his big day (well, it was more like a week)....my mom came to celebrate the weekend before his birthDAY. We went to the Farm and rode horses and fed the animals. We went to the park and had a picnic and stuffed cupcakes in our face (actueally Reis did). Thanks Grandma...we LOVE it when you come!!!

Then it was finally Reis' official bday!!! Nana and Grandpa Mike came out to celebrate and Uncle Scott and Aunt Kara came over. It was fun to see Reis stuff his face once again (lucky dog), and this time he DEFINITELY needed a bath!

This is Bryan's Aunt Sherrie with Reis and they share the SAME birthday.
