Cabo San Lucas

Aaaahhhh....Mexico in December!!! I consider myself one lucky girl. I got to spend a WHOLE week in Cabo with Bryan's family. This is my FAVorite pic of the whole trip...of my 2 boys and it was NOT staged. Just like them I just wanted to take it ALL in...it was such a beautiful place!
I did A LOT of things on this trip that normally I am terrified of...snorkeling and zip-lining...and I had a blast and was not scared once doing them. I am so glad I didn't let my fears stop me and am glad to of experienced them with Bryan and fam!

The trip started off right by attending the spanish speaking sacrament service. Had NO clue what they were saying but you could definitely feel the spirit.

Snorkeling...my FIRST experience because THIS time I didn't let my fear stop me...and the water was so blue and clear. WOW...the movie Nemo kept running through my head :-)

The kids had fun on the boat ride to our snorkeling spot. Reis got a little snooze and Aunt Ashley fed him nacho cheese chips...which at first he loved but he sure was messy!
Deep Sea Fishing...what can I say...it was NOT at all what I expected! It technically wasn't fishing in my book. The guides set the hook and you just reel the fish in (which is TOUGH) and then the guide guts it.

SEA SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jason and Cole took a nap to try and help the sickness go away....while they did we headed back to the dock to drop them off. On the way back our boat was SO slow we figured out it was a freakin lemon. So, while docked we did a little complaining/negotiating and got a new boat AND some dramamine!
No more fish were caught but had a great time hanging out, talking and sight-seeing. We saw flying fish, whales, and dolphins...and Bryan made the guide take a detour to see the sea lions.

Zip-lining....LOVED it. I am afraid of heights but I just went for it. We also had to cross a rope bridge (I went super slow...that was the one thing that freaked me out). We also got to repel and Bryan and I got to go at the same time...so, on the way down we took a moment and Bryan layed one on me :-)

Along with all the extra-ciricular activities there was great food and dancing/entertainment. Did I say this was an ALL-INCLUSIVE trip?!?!?! So, needless to say the kids (and us) could not get enough of the drinks. It was funny, the rooms had hard alcohol dispensers in them and the fridges were stocked full of alcohol... and we would ask the maids to stock our fridges with water and sprite and they would just look at us like we were crazy!!
Found out Reis LOVES nutella!! This resort totally reminded me of Dirty Dancing....the workers were amazing and were involved in everything (I don't think they went home or even slept) and they made it fun for everyone! Every night there was entertainment for the kids on the main stage.... so, of course Everett and Reis wanted in on that even though they really had NO clue what the game was. They were happy to run around on stage and dance acting like a fool! I guess I didn't get a pic of Reis on stage...too busy making sure he wasn't going to get run over or fall off the stage...oops!On this trip Reis and Everett thought it SO funny to go up to their older cousins and just scream...I would just love to know what goes through their heads :-) So, here is his cousin Barrett entertaining him!

New Years Eve...like usual great food, great atmosphere just stepped up a couple of notches :-)

Reis, once again, had to have his shirt off cuz it was a complete mess from demanding to feed himself...what can ya do?!?!!

Everett was SO cute trying to keep up and do everything his older cousins were doing. Love this pic!
We took a boat ride over to Lovers Beach. There we climbed the big rocks, built sand castles and snorkeled.

This pic cracks me up...it was nearing the end of the week and Everett didn't have really any clean swimsuits and rashguards left, but he INSISTED on wearing a rashguard even though I tried to tell him he didn't need one...so here he is wearing Reis' stuff...BIG man in a LITTLE suit :-)
Burying Barrett and Grandpa Mike!

Everett did not take a liking to being IN the ocean...he liked it from a distance. Reis, on the other hand, really liked it.

While Bryan and I were doing all our extra-cirricular activities, Nana and Grandpa Mike were holding down the fort with the kids! Here is Nana with ALL her grandsons!

Everett and Nana checking out the view!

Here are just some random family shots.

Family photo shoot here in this amazingly beautiful place...kinda crazy with such a big group :-)

The behind the scenes stage play!!!

The kids did awesome on this trip!!! The portable dvd player came in handy, especially when one kid (Reis) would wake up early in the morning and we didn't want him to disturb the other (Everett).

I love this pic!!!! We came back from a day at the beach and we were getting the kids out of their swimsuits when all of a sudden we heard Reis but did not see him.....this is what we found. He didn't like it...I think it was a little cold for him!
Precious...Everett holding Gigi's hand while waiting to get through security!

He works SO hard.

It was an UNBELIEVABLE family trip...great company, food, and fun!! Thanks for ALL the help in making this such an unforgettable trip!

Xmas in Denver

The month of December was a crazy whirlwind of FUN! As soon as we dropped off my mom at the airport (she came to celebrate MY birthday) we headed off to Colorado. We spent the first half of our vacation at Grandpa Bills house. The kids have so much fun with grandpa AND his dogs :-)

Reis our little climber!!

While in Colorado we also hit up Casa Bonita...the kids had fun watching the divers show, the dark cave and the pinata!!! We also headed over to my brother-in-law Shawn's aunts house to see some fun animals and ride horses. The kids loved petting and feeding the horses.

Here is Shawn giving Everett a ride on his horse. Now Shawn doesn't ride horses very often and they started to walk the horse and the horse started to go faster and THIS mommy got a little panicked and got Everett right off :-)
Bryan wanted a turn...poor horse :-)
So, this is where I great day could of turned horribly bad! Everett really wanted to ride a horse, so Shawn's aunt said she would walk Everett on this horse cuz it is a very calm horse. She also wanted Bryan to be right beside Everett since we didn't know what he would do. So, off they walked and Everett was loving it and kept saying "faster, faster." So they decided to jog and the next thing you know the horse got skiddish and was trying to get away from Bryan and the aunt. And all I saw was Bryan leaping towards the horse and grabbed Everett. Holy Crap!! Evers cried for like a minute and then wanted right back on the horse. I am glad that did not make him afraid of horses but I called it a day.
This picture cracks me up! Reis always grabs my hair and rubs it against his cheek and ear. I guess I got a break cuz he just grabbed Kylie's tail and was rubbing it against his face.
We helped grandpa decorate his xmas tree. Everett thought it was pretty darn fun..go figure. Aunt Ashley and Aunt Kaye were helping Everett put the ornaments on the tree...then it was on to some dancy dance time!!!
Those were some great moves!!!
Christmas morning was great. We came down the stairs and Everett saw his bike and immediately wanted to take off his pj's..guess he thought he couldn't ride it until he was dressed.
So this clapping monkey kept Reis intertained the whole time we were at grandpa's. He didn't care about the presents he just wanted to play with the annoying monkey...whatever makes him happy :-) (This monkey used to be at Bryan's grandparents house and he remembers being afraid of it everytime he went to his grandparents.)

Such a fun christmas in Colorado!!

My BIG 3-0 !!!!

I can't believe it...the downslide is OVER, I have reluctantly arrived to the age of 30!!!
I had an awesome birthday WEEK!! My mom flew in to celebrate with me...so basically I got to play all week. I had SO much fun with her...we can really do some damage :-) My BIG day arrived and I didn't know what was planned for THE day but I was super excited. My mom, the kids and I had a fun morning running some last minute Christmas errands. Then we hit up Kneaders (my fav) and took our lunch on over to Carl's Jr. for the kids to play and eat chicken nuggets while my mom and I enjoyed our delicious Kneaders sandwich. Then we headed home to get ready for who-knows-what to happen (Evers took the pic).
My mom and Everett were relaxing while I was getting things ready according to the text clues I was getting from Bryan ALL day.
The time arrived and Bryan drove me up to Park City for....a night away from the kids :-) This is only the second time I have been away from my kids overnight...and I do love to miss my kids :-) Bryan planned out a special night of good eats at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and some much need R and R.
Thanks mom AND Bryan for making my birthday so special and one to enjoy!!!

Playing Outside

Evers and Reis were helping mom rake leaves...and play and spread them all over...and rake again. It was a fun few days to finish up that project :-)

I was cleaning the bathrooms with Reis by my side while Evers was playing downstairs...or so I thought. I decided to go check on Everett and he was NO where to be found in the house. I started to panic when I looked in the backyard to see him playing with his cars, in his diaper, in the cold fall weather! Reis wanted to join him while I went to find my camera. Gabe, I swear I do put clothes on my kids!
The kids and I built a HUGE (as Evers would say) pile of leaves at the bottom of the slide. The kids had SO much fun sliding into the pile of leaves.

This is what happened EVERY time Bryan would mow the lawn...Daddy having to carry Reis AND mow the lawn at the same time while Everett followed right behind with his lawn mower! It was a site!

Daddy's killings!! The kids had fun watching dad clean the birds on our FRONT lawn!
Daddy taking Reis on his FIRST motorcycle ride around our neighborhood. Mommy was nervous!
I sure do miss the fall..spring...and summer!
