Nana's Retreat

Nana put on her BIG Mary Kay retreat this year up in Park City. Yeah for us!! We got to go up and see her and Grandpa Mike do their THANG!! It was a fun couple of days with swimming, eating, great motivational talks, and family time!

Gigi (Bryan's grandma who also does MK), Nana and Reis hanging out during the luncheon.
The pool was warm but the air was bitter cold. That did not stop our kids from having a good time...blue lips and all!The kids did really well during the talks..they found their own entertainment...hiding under tables!!
The best part of the weekend was what happened the last day, during the last talk, which was none other than SuzAnne. All the directors were lined up on and off the stage and Gigi was among them. Gigi was waving to Everett and when he noticed he just yelled "GIGI" and ran right up to her. I of course made Bryan go up to get him, and at that moment SuzAnne was having the directors go back to their seats when Everett's eyes locked onto Nana and he ran so fast right in front of the directors, arms outstretched yelling "Nana, Nana, Nana." Nana just swooped him up....How could you resist?!!?! Usually Everett would get shy in front of a crowd, but he turned into little ham! Nana told him to say HI and he did right into the microphone...she prompted him to say Thankyou Grandpa..and he did. The crowd was melting...I was melting.
When it was over Evers couldn't get enough of the microphone...or the stage!! Reis and Evers had SO much fun dancing..they were a hit!

Reis is 1

Reis turned 1....last September!! I am SO grateful that he is a part of our family. For his big day (well, it was more like a week)....my mom came to celebrate the weekend before his birthDAY. We went to the Farm and rode horses and fed the animals. We went to the park and had a picnic and stuffed cupcakes in our face (actueally Reis did). Thanks Grandma...we LOVE it when you come!!!

Then it was finally Reis' official bday!!! Nana and Grandpa Mike came out to celebrate and Uncle Scott and Aunt Kara came over. It was fun to see Reis stuff his face once again (lucky dog), and this time he DEFINITELY needed a bath!

This is Bryan's Aunt Sherrie with Reis and they share the SAME birthday.

Home Beauty Shop

So, last night we decided to buzz Reis' hair. He was getting the long bangs and maybe leaning towards feminine when we didn't style his hair. So the clippers came out...and this momma was NERVOUS! There was a team effort...Reis did great considering it took us a long time to try and get it right....so we had Reis in all kinds of positions, even upside down.

Of course if Reis is getting something then Everett wants to jump in on the action. After pretending to cut his hair (we put the vibrating clippers upside down on his head) we decided "Why not?" Everett did well but in the process needed to be bribed with a treat for being good. His head was down as Bryan buzzed his locks off saying "thankyou mommy" over and over!

Not bad for a first timer at cutting hair...if I don't say so myself!!! Good team effort by all!

Obsession

I can NOT keep Reis away from the toilet...he is OBSESSED. Everytime I turn around his little hands are swishing back and forth in the toilet bowl.
Ooops caught in the act! At least it has forced me to clean the toilets DAILY!!

Scott was watching Reis and this is what we came home too!!! Does that look comfortable to you?!?!

Random Outdoor Pics

These are some recent random pics.

Reis and Everett getting a ride in a weed feeder machine. They had a lot of fun being pushed all around the yard in this together.
By the way Evers is OBSESSED with STICKERS!!!! I find them ALL over the house and on him and me!

Scott and Evers relaxing after Scott's long hard run :-)

Reis is SUCH a daddy's boy. When daddy is around that is the ONLY person he wants. SO, when daddy is trying to mow the lawn....well, he has to hold Reis too ;-) Also, Evers likes to get his lawnmower out and follow daddy around and around and around until daddy is done with the WHOLE yard! That is quite the workout considering he has to run sometimes to keep up!
Another OBSESSION around our house is the hose. They LOVE the water. Here is Reis trying to get a drink but in the process completely drenching himself...a daily occurence for both boys!

Yet ANOTHER obsession is the grape vine along our back fence. I find Everett sneaking over there to steal some grape and stuff them in his mouth before I can get to them to wash them off!! I just can't think about all the germs and possibly chemicals!!

So here is a pic of the one day I attempted to potty train Everett which he did successfully do half the time... (then life got a little hectic so I didn't continue). What more could a boy want...if he had to sit there than mine as well play with the hose!! At least it kept him on the potty long enough to go potty!

Payson Pool

A couple of Saturdays ago we took the kids to the Payson Pool. It was SWEET. We ended up taking them after their naps, which meant that dinner time was soon...but the kids didn't care about food and they were happy and having a BLAST as long as they were in the water!
This photo makes me laugh..it is like he is in a swimsuit model pose. You go boy!

Reis had a lot of fun in the water!

Of course he thought this was a drinking fountain...a little chlorine never hurt anyone :-)
Everett was very independent. There was a kids structure that had a couple of slides and play items and Everett kept going down the slides and didn't quite care where mommy and daddy were.

His big thing NOW is to lay back in the water...as he would say "back." He loves to lay back on the stairs and in the bathtub (for a while there he would scream bloody murder if you even tried to lay him back).
Payson Pool is definitely going to be a hot spot for us next summer!!

Liberty, Utah

We made a quick trip up to Liberty in August to visit our friends. That weekend happened to be the Hot Air Balloon Festival ( I can't remember what the festival was called, but there were hot air balloons :-) ). So, our kids were up bright and early so we headed to find a spot to watch the balloons. After awhile Evers kept saying "want, want"...come on daddy, whatever the boy wants he gets :-)

That afternoon we headed to the festival part where there were booths, blowup bouncy machines and slides. and mini train rides. Here is Reis and Mason...the stroller buddies!
Everett LOVED the train ride...they went around SO many times. Of course, when the ride was over he SCREAMED....but while it lasted he had the biggest grin on his face!!

Then we took the chair lift up to the top of the mountain. What a great view! On the way down Evers kept waving to the people coming up. Luckily I had Reis in the Bjorn..it was a long, nice and high up ride with NO cross bar to keep us in!

Everett and Easton looking for MORE rocks to throw down the hill..all boy I tell ya!That evening we headed to a lake to do some swimming. Evers and Reis loved the water...it was cold but they didn't care. I had to say "ENOUGH" when their lips were blue and they were shaking uncontrollably. They could NOT get warm after that....oops. But they had a blast.
Evers had NO fear of the water. Which is kinda a bad thing..since he ran straight into the water to get his daddy and fell all the way in. He didn't care but it scared mommy really good.

In the process of trying to get my kids warm....but photo op time :-)

Sharee is dry so she is trying to get Reis warm with her body heat!

Easton was toasty buried in the sand :-) Maybe I should of tried that with my kids!

Everett and Easton sharing some laughs...and splashes in the bathtub!

Thanks Sharee for a fun getaway!
